Introduction
Hello, this page is to support applications for part-time teaching in The Netherlands. Having spent 20 years plus in academia (UK and USA), I am no longer looking for full time or tenured positions. I am interested in 1-2 days of teaching maximum.
My background is Industrial Design, but I have originated and managed a VFX (Visual Effects) degree programme in the UK, so I am familiar with film, games and animation industries.
Thanks, Huw

Background
I have relocated to Breda, due to my wife’s promotion from a senior position in the USA to a new role within the same company, but being based in The Netherlands.

Resume / CV
I’ll spare you the bloated CV that American Academia favored and list the highlights below:
Personal Work / Interests
Computer Modelling, Rendering and 3D printing.
Combining many of my interests, recent projects have assisted a non-profit military museum in the United States. Work for the Combat Air Museum is ongoing, even with my relocation to Europe.
- 1914 Lewis Gun for Airco DH-2 WW1 fighter (British)
- 1914 100HP GNOME Monosoupape B2 Rotary engine for Airco DH-2 WW1 fighter (British)
Rendering
I have a SpheronVR HDR SceneCam system, which I use for a variety of uses, from virtual tour generation to HDR acquisition for Image Based Lighting (IBL) work. I am familiar with Mental Ray (Maya), Octane and Keyshot rendering systems.
- Image Based Lighting Rendering
Student Work (completed under my supervision / support)
Probably the best route for this work would be the VFX VIMEO portal. I originated this program from scratch in the UK, and was involved in student work at all levels, including their final year projects, upto 2013.
Together with the Animation program, we were one of the first UK based degree programs to attend and present at FMX in Germany.
