02 – Bio

  • July 1988 – Graduated with Distinction and Commendation from Manchester Polytechnic’s MA Industrial Design Program. Perry King (partner in a leading Architecture and Design consultancy, based in Milan, Italy) was our External Examiner.
  • August 1988 – Worked as ‘in-house’ Industrial Designer for GE Plastics (Europe) bv, The Netherlands
  • 1990 – Industrial Design consultant in UK
  • 1992 – Invited into academia to help establish two new degree programmes within the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, United Kingdom.
  • 1999 – Faculty exhange with the University of Kansas.
  • UK – Managed 3 ‘industrial design’ related programmes over last 20 years
  • UK – Senior Lecturer on a 4th ‘product design’ degree award
  • 2006 – Originated entire program of study / managed a completely new VFX degree programme for Staffordshire University, in the UK – which became one of the College Road campus’s top recruiters within 4 years.
  • External Examiner for numerous degrees, at Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Masters Levels
  • Interested in computer rendering and Image Based Lighting systems for last 10 years.
  • Fall 2012 – 4 month sabbatical at the University of Kansas (KU).
  • Spring 2013 – Associate Professor at KU, within the School of Architecture, Design and Planning (SADP).
  • January 2014 – Conducting research using immersive capture technology and allied software.
  • October 2015 – Volunteer for Combat Air Museum, Topeka, USA
  • June 2016 – EAD (Form I-766) and Green Card issued
  • April 2018 – Relocation back to Europe as my wife is promoted from a North American VP role to a global role.
